Delete your account.
You can permanently delete your HelloMealio account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open HelloMealio and go to the Settings tab
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap Delete account and confirm
Your account and data are deleted immediately.
By email
Email sam@hellomealio.com with the subject “Delete my account” from the email address you signed up with.
We verify the request belongs to you and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity (email, Apple, or Google)
- Your profile and household membership
- Recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, and cooking history tied to your account
- Your push notification tokens and preferences
Good to know
Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings (App Store or Google Play) before or after deleting — otherwise the store will keep billing you.
Shared households: if your partner is in your household, content they created stays with them. Deleting your account removes you and your data, not theirs.
